Job summary

Equahire is seeking a New Construction Plumbing Manager in Winston-Salem, NC to lead its residential new construction division. The team currently runs 7 two-man crews for 4 production builders, with plans to add 2–3 more crews.

You’ll manage the division day-to-day from the field and office, reporting to the General Manager. The role sits above a superintendent and functions like a PM coordinating multiple jobs and crews.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multiple jobs and crews, ideally with production builders.
• Plumbing background highly preferred; builders-side construction managers considered.
• NC Journeyman or Master license is a plus, but not required.
• Strong office and coordination skills: scheduling, estimating and keeping many moving parts organized.
• Comfort with estimating software, scheduling tools and the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews and supervisors across active jobs on-site and in the office.
• Estimate and bid new work from takeoffs through pricing; manage bids.
• Run the schedule: crew assignments and completion dates aligned with builder commitments.
• Own builder relationships; be the go-to for superintendents and purchasing.
• Track job costs and forecast division revenue.

An established plumbing contractor in Winston‑Salem is hiring a New Construction Manager to lead its residential new construction division. The division works with production builders across the Triad, and it’s growing.

Today the team runs 7 two-man crews for 4 production builders, with plans to add 2 to 3 more crews. You’ll run the division day to day, both in the field and in the office, and the New Construction Supervisors will report to you. The role sits above a superintendent and works more like a PM running multiple jobs and crews at once. You’ll report to the General Manager.

What you’ll do

• Lead crews and supervisors across active jobs. Be on site, keep quality high and keep work moving.
• Estimate and bid new work, from takeoffs through pricing, and own bid management.
• Run the schedule: crew assignments, completion dates and builder commitments.
• Own builder relationships. Be the person superintendents and purchasing call when something needs to get done.
• Track job costs and help forecast division revenue.
• Hire, train and develop supervisors and crew leads as the division grows.

What we’re looking for

• Experience managing multiple jobs and crews at the same time, ideally with production builders.
• A plumbing background is highly preferred. We’ll also look at builder-side construction managers and superintendents who’ve managed plumbing trades.
• An NC Journeyman or Master plumbing license is a plus, but not required.
• Strong office and coordination skills: scheduling, estimating and keeping a lot of moving pieces organized.
• Comfort with estimating software, scheduling tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
• A steady leader who holds crews accountable and keeps builders happy.
