Job summary

Citadel Roofing and Solar is seeking a New Construction Solar Electrician to lead solar pre-wire and installation efforts across California. You will ensure materials match layouts, enforce safety standards, and supervise crews to meet schedule and quality targets.

The role requires hands-on electrical experience with solar systems, strong communication with the superintendent, and willingness to travel regionally to Central Valley and Southern California.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in residential roof top solar installation.
• Knowledge of reading solar layouts and SLDs.
• Manage production crew and coordinate field activities.
• Electrical solar experience with Enphase/SolarEdge/Sol-Ark systems.
• 3-phase electrical experience including transformers, storage batteries, inverters above 25kW.
• Knowledge of solar structural requirements.
• Knowledge of roofing practices/requirements.
• Able to travel to Central Valley and Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality installations that can be commissioned and inspected without issues.
• Capture 100% of required photos for each installation daily.
• Maintain truck stock mid/max levels.
• Communicate with Citadel Superintendent at least twice daily.
• Confirm material picked up from warehouse and plan daily activities.
• Document day’s completed activities and field issues.
• Submit weekly timecards and safety documents on time.
• Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.

Company:Citadel Roofing and Solar is a growing company that is made up of industry veterans with more than 30 years of experience, and a stellar reputation of service excellence to new construction home builders throughout California.

We are currently looking for a New Construction Solar Electrician for our growing solar team!

Description

Manage crew and or crews to perform solar pre-wire installation as well as solar installation which will include ensuring all material received from warehouse is correct material and correct quantities to complete installation. The commercial electrician will be responsible for making sure crews follow Citadel Safety and Installation Standards as well as job site rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality installations that will be able to be commissioned and inspected without issues
• Provide 100% of required photos for each installation daily (no exceptions)
• Maintain truck stock mid/max levels
• Communicate with Citadel Superintendent at a minimum every morning and afternoon
• oAM confirm material picked up from warehouse and activity plan for the day
• oPM confirm what activities were completed that day as well as update on any field related issues that came up during the day
• Communicate before installation with Citadel Superintendent if installations will not match solar layout exactly for approval to install and supply as-built drawing day of installation if different from solar layout
• Provide weekly timecard and safety documents required for entire crew to be turned into Citadel Superintendent on time and accurate
• Maintain company vehicle maintenance including washing interior and exterior of vehicle weekly

Skills

• Ability to inspect fall gear and other PPE daily/weekly
• Follow and enforce Citadel installation and safety practices
• Organization skills to maintain clean and organized company vehicle and provide warehouse timely notification of need material to maintain truck stock mid/max levels
• Communicate with others inside and outside Citadel organization
• Navigate iPad and or iPhone use required apps to provide deliverables
