The New Construction Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing an existing customer base along with bringing on new customers with a focus on track home construction. This role requires a commitment to understanding technical specifications in electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, low voltage systems, and additional scopes as needed. The new construction account manager should possess a strong understanding of the builders in their region, including those who are handling the work, and what opportunities exist for the company to strengthen both existing and new relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management:
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Maintain consistent communication with purchasing managers, permitting team, warranty managers, and operations teams.
- Act as a liaison for the builder to ensure internally Strada departments are delivery quality service.
- Provide regular updates to clients on project status, performance, and other key metrics.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and actively seek out new clients and markets.
- Track all communities by builder including upcoming, active, and close out communities.
- Stay in front of builders on upcoming communities and close out communities to ensure consistent market share and continued growth.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing, ensuring both customer satisfaction and profitability for the company.
- Understand builder contracts including payment draws, EPOs and sales office invoicing.
- Identify competitors by market by builder and understand what work our competitors are doing by builder
Manage Bid Request & NetSuite Submissions:
- Work directly with builder purchasing team to bid plans and/or communities.
- Submit all pricing requests through NetSuite and update bid status for accurate tracking of conversion rate and builder win rate.
- Understand specifications and review scopes of work upon bidding to ensure estimating has all pertinent information for accurate proposals.
- Communicate all new work with internal operations, estimating, and field operations with expected start dates and capacity. Assist field in setting up preconstruction meetings for all new community kick offs to ensure success for Strada and builder partner.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Maintain accurate records of builder contacts, sales activities, and forecasts using NetSuite software.
- Prepare projections and forecasts based on builder feedback for annual budgets.
- Stay up to date on sales/market trends for construction in your market and nationwide.
- Work closely with sales manager, VP of Sales on builder feedback and opportunities.
- Discuss challenges/objections with sales manager and VP of sales to discuss solutions to maintain/gain new business.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing insights, feedback, and strategies for enhancing sales efforts.
- Stay involved in local builder association meetings/events.
- Attend builder vendor meetings/holiday parties/etc. that sometimes require evening and weekends
Quarterly Review & Incentives:
- You will conduct a One on One strategic planning and goal setting meeting with your sales manager. In this meeting you will be provided with your revenue targets based on your builders, market, and goals. You’ll also be provided with sales initiatives and evaluations to help generate more revenue. This will be directly tied to your quarterly incentive plan.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and three (3) years related in sales of consumer/retail-oriented product lines.
- Good communicator, both written and verbally
- A positive attitude and be able to work independently.
- Connection to track home builders in your area.
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean record.
- Ability to identify new clients, business opportunities and establish new customer base.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Responsibilities will include sales/service for HVAC, plumbing and electric.
