Job summary

Mercury is building a complete finance stack for startups, simplifying banking for entrepreneurs and businesses. The company has obtained a provisional national bank charter and is scaling its operations with a diverse team.

The role partners with Product, Operations, Compliance and other teams to ensure risk is managed safely across the product lifecycle, reporting to the Head of Business Risk & Enablement and focusing on risk self-assessments, incident management, and KPI/KRIs development.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years in banking/fintech risk or controls roles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with GRC and non-financial risk frameworks.
• Proficiency with AI tools or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate execution of risk self-assessments and non-financial risk frameworks.
• Manage incidents, issues, and remediation to closure.
• Develop and enhance KPIs/KRIs to mitigate risk.
