Job summary

Pathfinder Insurance Group in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an Assistant Account Manager for the New Business Team. This entry-level role focuses on preparing submissions, marketing to carriers, and tracking responses while training with experienced staff.

Hours are 8:30am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday, with the option of a remote day after one year. Compensation ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 based on experience, with licensing costs reimbursed after passing exams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a role requiring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Texas Property & Casualty license or commitment to obtain within 90 days of hire, with costs reimbursed.
• A sense of urgency; submissions move on carrier timelines.
• Detail oriented and organized; accuracy in data affects outcomes.
• Resourceful; locate missing information and resolve items independently.
• Team player; supports senior staff and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submission packages for prospective accounts (ACORDs, SOVs, loss runs, questionnaires, property data).
• Obtain outstanding information to ensure submissions are complete before release.
• Submit to wholesale brokers and underwriters, track market status and clearance.
• Track quotes and follow up on responses; maintain the marketing grid.
• Create quote comparison spreadsheets detailing coverage and cost.
• Assemble proposals for senior staff to present to clients.
• Create new accounts and contacts in Applied Epic and transition bound accounts to service team.
