Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a New Business Development Manager for Advanced Optics to identify and secure new revenue opportunities. You will work cross-functionally to craft go-to-market strategies, develop business cases, and manage opportunities from concept through to execution.

You will partner with leadership to prioritize investments, negotiate strategic agreements, and drive growth across multiple platforms while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to qualify opportunities and manage pipelines end-to-end.
• Experience developing go‑to‑market plans and segmentation.
• Ability to translate customer needs into clear requirements and value propositions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize new opportunities within Advanced Optics.
• Develop and execute go-to-market plans including pricing and marketing.
• Build relationships with internal teams, customers, and partners; represent Corning at events.
• Lead cross-portfolio growth aligning roadmaps with capabilities and budgets.
• Manage the funnel through qualification, gate reviews, and transfer to base business.
• Translate voice-of-customer and competitive intel into product/tech requirements.
• Develop investment-ready business cases and drive commercialization planning.
