Azelis Americas CASE is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers) New Business Development professional to join our team.

Summary:

The New Business Development, CASE role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth across our specialty chemicals portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of the CASE market, and a proven track record of developing and growing customer relationships. Responsibilities include developing a comprehensive business plan outlining strategic and tactical measures to penetrate and grow CASE markets. The successful candidate will need to acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the market, including market intelligence, trends, needs, and opportunities related to current and new products and services. The role involves continuous evaluation of the opportunity pipeline and taking actions to win and close new business and growth opportunities.

  • Established knowledge of the CASE markets with expertise in emulsions and dispersions technologies, including customer and supplier communities.
  • Knowledge of Adhesive dispersion-based applications and markets, with a strong understanding of the customer base and supplier community.
  • Coaching skills to guide Technical Sales Representatives in market development.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiating skills.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills for all organizational levels.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans and strategies.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Active participation in industry associations.
  • Occasional overnight trips for seminars, training, and conventions.
  • Up to 50% overnight travel as necessary.
  • Representation of the company at industry events with professionalism and integrity.
  • Thorough understanding of the typical sales process.

Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Planning & Market Development

  • Identify growth opportunities to expand and segment the business.
  • Analyze sales results, market share, competitive activity, and customer trends.
  • Implement hunting strategies to accelerate growth in targeted markets.
  • Execute hunting initiatives and plans.

Trend Reporting and Presentation Development

  • Develop quarterly trend reports for management to assist in closing opportunities.
  • Provide insights on current and upcoming market trends relating to the company's products.
  • Create quarterly presentations on market opportunities and trends for customer and prospect engagement.

Supplier Relations/New Supplier Development

  • Monitor opportunity pipeline development of strategic suppliers to ensure revenue growth.
  • Review and ensure proper development of key supplier product lines.
  • Communicate market trends and opportunities to upper management and suppliers.
