Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America seeks a Manager of Community and Government Affairs to lead regional social performance and local government relations in Nevada. You will oversee the Beatty Center, guide stakeholder engagement, and align strategies with corporate objectives while supervising two Community Affairs Specialists.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, 5–7+ years in related roles, and strong leadership with a focus on community relations across municipal levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 to 7+ years of progressive experience in community relations, government affairs, social performance, or external affairs within mining, natural resources, infrastructure, or energy.
• Minimum 2+ years of formal supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Proven track record managing government relations across Town, County, and State levels, and coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regional community engagement strategies across Nevada, Beatty, Amargosa Valley and Nye County.
• Oversee Beatty Community Relations Center and align outreach with corporate communications.
• Lead cross-functional teams to reduce stakeholder risk and monitor social performance.
