Job summary

HNE in Nevada is seeking an Associate Attorney licensed in Nevada to join a growing legal team handling collections, evictions, and related litigation matters. This role suits attorneys who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy courtroom advocacy, and can manage a high-volume caseload from initial demand through judgment.

The candidate should hold a JD, be admitted to the Nevada Bar in good standing, and have prior litigation experience in collections, evictions, or civil matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Nevada Bar license in good standing; admission in additional jurisdictions is a plus.
• Experience in collections, evictions, or civil litigation preferred.
• FDCPA familiarity strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with UCC Article 9 is a significant plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle breach of contract, eviction, and collection litigation matters from pre-suit demand through final judgment.
• Represent clients at court hearings, both in-person and telephonic.
• Prepare, file, and argue Motions for Summary Judgment and other dispositive motions.
• Manage a high-volume caseload while meeting client expectations and internal performance goals.
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations on case handling and litigation strategy.
• Address escalated, time-sensitive matters with urgency and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate case updates and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case progression.
• Assist with special projects and additional legal matters as needed.
