Job summary
The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) seeks a Research Assistant II to support the NeuroTrauma Department's Traumatic Brain Injury program at NMRC in Silver Spring, MD.
The role provides laboratory and technical support and collaborates with senior staff to advance research goals. You will perform neuroscience and cellular/molecular biology techniques, assist with data collection and reporting, and help maintain databases in a clinical or laboratory
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in biology, neuroscience, or a related discipline required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assists in executing and implementing scientific research in neuroscience and traumatic brain injury.
- Assists in performing laboratory research utilizing techniques in neuroscience, cellular/molecular biology.
- Maintains databases and performs data entry for research projects.
- Performs laboratory research projects and records observations.
- Assists with preparation of reports, publications, and presentations.
- Follows SOPs and may provide basic instruction to staff.
- Assists with collection and handling of samples and maintaining records.
