Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• RN licensure with privileges to practice in relevant state(s).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; further certifications may be needed by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions and adjusts care plans with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs and ensure staff coverage.
