Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our neurosurgical team. This full-time position supports spine and brain surgeries, working closely with surgeons and registered nurses to maintain high standards of patient care.

Hours are 7am–5pm with on-call responsibilities. Minimum education includes a high school diploma and completion of an accredited surgical technician program; certification as a Surgical Tech is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate.
• Graduation from a formal accredited surgical technician training program.
• Two years surgical technician experience preferred.
• Certified Surgical Tech Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Specialized position as a Certified Surgical Technologist with our neurosurgical team.
• Neuro CST's specialize in spine and brain surgery working alongside the same surgeons and RN's consistently to become highly skilled in the specialty.
• Dedicated neuro-techs will take call responsibilities outside of their usual shift to cover neurosurgical cases during evenings, nights and weekends. Techs rotate weeks between team members. Other off-shift requirements are not covered by neuro specialty techs, only neurosurgical cases will require coverage.
• Additional duties include stocking specialty supplies and updating neurosurgical preference cards.
