Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join the Vascular Neurosurgical team at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. The role involves frontline interventional stroke care and cranial neurosurgery alongside three neurosurgeons, two APPs, and two Interventional Neurology Fellows.

Responsibilities include rounds, histories, physicals, and developing care plans with emphasis on patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program.
• National Board Certification as a PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hospital rounds and surgical support.
• Take patient histories and perform physicals; document in EMR.
• Evaluate and treat patients to optimize care.
• Write progress notes and prepare work-ups.
• Develop plans of care to minimize complications and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare pre-op assessments and ensure labs/testing are complete.
• Assist with postoperative hospital and clinic care.
• Respond to first call for practice patients as needed.
