Piedmont Medical Care Corporation seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Neurosurgery team at Piedmont Atlanta. This inpatient role involves daily rounds, perioperative management, and coordination of inpatient care across units, with rotating weekend coverage.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years Neurosurgery experience, strong neurological assessment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Requires PA or APRN credentialing and GA licensure.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years Neurosurgery experience preferred in inpatient/surgical neurocritical care
• Strong neurological assessment and clinical decision‑making skills
• Experience managing preoperative and postoperative neurosurgical patients preferred
• Ability to independently assess hospitalized patients and escalate concerns
• Willingness to participate in rotating weekend coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurosurgical care as part of the neurosurgery service.
• Perform daily rounds, evaluate patients, and collaborate with attending neurosurgeons.
• Manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care and discharge planning.
• Coordinate transitions between ICU, intermediate care, acute care units, rehab, and home.
• Communicate plan of care and updates to patients and families.
• Assist with preoperative and postoperative management and procedures as needed.
