Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant for the Department of Neurosurgery at South Shore Hospital to provide inpatient and ambulatory care. The PA will round with the neurosurgical team, perform consults, and manage procedures with ACLS involvement. Expect a 4‑day work week with day/evening/weekend rotations and ongoing quality initiatives.

Supervision is provided by an attending physician; strong clinical judgment and collaboration with the team are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree Physician Assistant required.
• MA state license is required.
• Experience as a PA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies.
• Maintains timely documentation including admission and progress notes.
• May first assist in the operating room.
• 4 day work week with day/evening/weekend rotations.
