Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a casual, as needed Patient Care Assistant to support the 2 North West Neurosurgery Department. The role involves direct and indirect nursing support, vital signs, lab specimen collection, charting, and daily living assistance under supervision.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or equivalent and WV CNA license or PCT Certification; CPR and Glucoscan within 90 days are required. 1–2 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant degree or WV CNA license or PCT Certification required.
• CPR within 90 days of employment; Glucoscan within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks and assist nursing staff as directed.
• Clean, take vital signs, obtain lab specimens and charting.
• Escort patients and assist with activities of daily living.
• Handle clerical duties and ordering/receiving supplies.
