Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to assist, monitor, and manage day-to-day patient care under physician supervision. The role includes weekend shifts and per diem coverage as needed, with potential consideration for Acute Care certified NP with RNFA.

Weekend and holiday coverage may be required. The PA will perform histories and physicals, order and interpret tests, and collaborate with neurosurgery and hospital teams to deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program.
• Licensed Physician Assistant in NJ per state regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in computer systems (MS Office/Google Suite).

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under physician supervision.
• Perform and document HPI and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic studies with physicians.
• Prescribe medications per policy and NJ regulations.
• Promote practice recognition and participate in rounds and education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care.
