Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) for per diem neurocritical care coverage. The role focuses on patient-centered, coordinated care with leadership, direct practice, collaboration, coaching, research and ethical decision-making.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning and implementing care for patients with health and safety needs. Expect weekend/holiday coverage as needed; no on-call required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement care for patients in a neurocritical care setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to coordinate patient care.
• Cover per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed, with no on-call requirement.
