Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Physician Assistant to perform clinical assessments, histories, and care management for neurosurgical patients. The PA will participate in rounds, update patient charts, and adjust orders in coordination with physicians.

The role requires California PA licensure, NCCPA board certification, and ability to conduct complex histories, physicals, and procedures. Experience with clinical trials is preferred; strong communication with patients and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Must haveCalifornia License and NCCPA board certification.
• Board certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Ability to perform histories, physical exams, and care management.
• Experience with clinical trials coordination preferred.
• Strong communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Perform histories, physical exams, and care management.
• Participate in daily rounds and chart updates.
• Update and summarize charts; adjust orders as needed.
• Counsel patients and families on preventive care and treatments.
• Assist in operative procedures and clinical investigations.
