Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Neurosurgery team. The role includes evaluating, diagnosing, and managing neurosurgical patients across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.

You will independently manage outpatient clinics, assist in surgeries, coordinate care, and travel to outreach locations as needed. Mercy Medical Center offers a collaborative, mission-driven environment with a focus on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA Board Certification or Board Eligible.
• Current State Physician Assistant License (or eligibility for licensure).
• Current DEA registration (or eligibility, if required).
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
• Neurosurgery or Orthopedic Surgery experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel to off-site clinic locations.
• Experience in a neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery or another surgical speciality

Responsabilités

• The Physician Assistant works collaboratively with the Neurosurgery physicians to provide comprehensive patient care across the inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.
• Independently manage outpatient clinics, assist in surgical procedures, and provide continuity of care across the treatment journey.
• Travel to outreach clinic locations is required.
• Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and coordinate care.
• Document encounters and maintain surgical/clinical records per policies.

Physician Assistant program

PA license

DEA registration

BLS/CPR certification
