Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery to support the physician staff in delivering high-quality neurosurgical care. The role involves conducting initial evaluations, ordering diagnostic studies, and coordinating comprehensive treatment plans under physician supervision.

The PA will work closely with surgeons and the healthcare team to manage patient care, perform procedures, and educate patients and families as part of a collaborative care model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Successful completion of a Physician’s Assistant program.
• Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant within 3 months of credentialing.
• Physician’s Assistant Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages a broad spectrum of patients and performs clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to assess patient health and develop care plans.
• Coordinate treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Order labs and imaging as indicated by patient assessment.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records and care plans.
• Triages and refers to appropriate sources when needed.
