Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurosurgery/Neuro Interventional Radiology team. The NP will perform histories, exams, follow-ups, and collaborate with supervising physicians to provide high-quality patient care within established protocols.

Requirements include a Master's in NP, NP license at hire, and preferred Neuro/Acute Care certification with about 1 year of NP experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for Nurse Practitioner.
• 1 year of NP experience preferred.
• Acute Care certification highly preferred.
• 1 year experience in Neuro preferred.
• NP - Nurse Practitioner upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients and those seen for follow up appointments.
• Provide follow up and health maintenance care per protocols or physician instructions.
• Initiate appropriate treatment and testing for evaluation of illness.
• Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health related issues.
• Document clinical care according to guidelines.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as directed by supervising physician.
• Communicate with patients and family within HIPAA guidelines.
