HCA Florida Largo Hospital's Neurosurgery Services is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a highly collaborative team. You will provide comprehensive patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, including First Assist in neurosurgical procedures and daily rounds.

The candidate should be board certified NP, hold Florida license, have at least 2 years in neurosurgery, and be able to work independently as part of a team with the neurosurgeon and care staff.

Qualifications

• Board certified Nurse Practitioner with Florida license.
• Minimum 2 years in neurosurgery required.
• First Assist experience is a plus; training available.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• First Assist in neurosurgical procedures.
• Conduct daily hospital rounds.
• Provide outpatient clinic support and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeon and care team for patient outcomes.
• Weekly schedule: clinic 2–3 days, inpatient consults/OR 2–3 days.
• Call 7–10 days per month, mostly phone calls.

Job Summary:

HCA Florida Largo Neurosurgery Services is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our neurosurgery team at. Join a Collaborative Neurosurgery Team in Florida. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a highly collaborative neurosurgery practice alongside an established neurosurgeon and dedicated nurse practitioner. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualified Candidates Will Have:

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (PA)
• Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to employment
• Minimum of 2 years of neurosurgery experience
• First Assist experience is a plus; however willing to train a motivated candidate
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage patient care independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

• First Assist in neurosurgical procedures
• Conduct daily hospital rounds
• Provide outpatient clinic support and follow-up care
• Collaborate closely with the neurosurgeon and care team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
• Weekly schedule - clinic 2 -3 days a week and inpatient consults and operating room 2-3 days a weeks
• Call schedule- seven to ten days a month to include one weekend - mostly phone calls
