Job summary

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with Alabama licensure (RN or LPN) and have related experience; master’s degree can substitute for experience. This on-site position supports patient care across clinics and departments.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting Alabama minimum standards and 3 years of related experience required.
• Masters can substitute for one year of experience and 1 year of related experience preferred.
• LPN licensure or RN licensure with Alabama or compact state licensure required.
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight to a specific vulnerable patient population within a department.
• Coordinate with multiple service lines to ensure patient-centered care and smooth transitions.
• Assist provider in medical management of outpatients in clinics.
• Participate in direct patient care activities including assessments, vital signs, procedures, injections, wound care, and phlebotomy.
• Manage calls and messages from patients, families, and other providers to address needs and questions.
