Job summary

North Texas Brain & Spine Specialists seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our neurosurgical team. Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in neurology/neurosurgery, orthopedics, spine care, or pain management and are eager to advance their clinical expertise in a specialized practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate NP program with MSN or DNP and Texas NP licensure.
• 1–2 years of neurology/neurosurgery, orthopedics, spine care, or pain management experience preferred.
• Current Texas RN and APRN licensure.
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner; AGACNP-BC as appropriate.
• Ability to perform surgical first‑assist responsibilities and obtain privileges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient histories, assessments, and physical exams.
• Perform neurological and musculoskeletal exams for brain, spine, and neuro conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with physicians.
• Order and interpret diagnostics (labs, X-ray, CT, MRI).
• Prescribe medications and therapies per Texas licensure and protocols.
• Lead preoperative evaluations and patient education for procedures.
• Provide intraoperative first‑assist support as needed.
