Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System seeks a qualified NP/PA to join the Neuro Surgical ICU (NSICU) team in Kansas City, MO. You will work nights with a highly collaborative, high-acuity group and provide care for critically ill NSICU patients alongside physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

Ideal candidates have critical care experience with strong communication skills, a Master’s Degree, and ACLS certification. New graduates are welcome with relevant ICU RN background and a passion for critical care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Advanced practice provider (NP/PA) with critical care experience preferred.
• Master's Degree and ACLS certification are required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill NSICU patients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for NSICU patients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.
• Provide patient, family, and staff education.
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust plans of care.

Full-Time | Night Shift | Plaza Hospital

Join our Neuro Surgical ICU (NSICU) team and work alongside Neuro Critical Care physicians in a collaborative, high-acuity environment. We are seeking a motivated APP with a passion for critical care. ICU experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

• Full-time nights

• 3 shifts per week (5:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

• Approximately 1 weekend every 3 weeks

• Approximately 2 holidays per year

• 18-bed Neuro Surgical ICU

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients

• Develop and implement treatment plans

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Critical care experience preferred

Ideal candidates will have experience in critical care or related specialties, including NSICU, CVICU, MICU, SICU, Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU, Emergency Medicine, Acute Care/Hospital Medicine, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Cardiology, Anesthesia, or other high-acuity settings.

New graduates are welcome to apply, especially those with strong RN experience in ICU settings (NCICU, MICU, CVICU, SICU), Progressive Care (PCU), or Emergency Department (ED) environments.
