Job summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center’s Neurosurgery department provides essential patient care in a 36-hour-per-week, full-time role scheduled 6p-6a. This position supports nursing staff, maintains a safe, clean environment, and promotes family-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
• Completed course of instruction from acceptable training school or equivalent training which prepares the employee to meet the designated requirements

Responsibilities

• Provides and maintains a clean, safe and quiet environment in support of patient comfort and contentment.
• Promotes the practice of family-centered care.
• Provides supportive care to patients in all units with adequate supervision and cross training.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and works cooperatively with the medical staff and other hospital staff who support the care of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
