Job summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Neurosurgery at Clinical Neuroscience Institute – MVH delivers comprehensive care in the outpatient clinic, operating room and perioperative settings, working closely with neurosurgeons and the care team.

Responsibilities include outpatient evaluations, first assist in neurosurgical procedures, pre-operative optimization, post-operative follow-up, and patient education to support informed decisions and improved outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Ohio licensure as NP or PA.
• National certification appropriate to discipline required.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient evaluations for neurosurgical conditions.
• Assist in neurosurgical procedures as first assist.
• Pre-operative assessments and patient optimization.
• Post-operative care and follow-up coordination.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and procedures.
