Job summary

Children's Health in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Ambulatory Nurse to provide direct patient care in the clinic.

You will use the nursing process to develop and implement a developmentally appropriate plan of care, collaborating with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

This on-site role requires a Texas RN license, BLS, PALS/NRP/ACLS, and BSN preferred; 1 year related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license required
• Current BLS certification
• PALS/NRP/ACLS certification required
• PACES certification within 6 months of hire
• PPMAB training within 60 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Prescribe, delegate and coordinate patient care with clinical judgment.
• Ensure safety, patient rights and adherence to standards.
• Oversee care delivered by care team and coordinate plan.
• Educate patients and families, respecting diversity and inclusion.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals for care plans.
• Document all patient encounters in EPIC.
• Protect PHI and adhere to infection prevention initiatives.
• Deliver competent, team-oriented care with sound clinical judgement.
• Continuously assess patient condition and adapt treatment with team.
• Maintain knowledge/resources across healthcare systems.
