Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to join our collegial Neurosurgery team. We offer a 2-year salary floor of $967,896 with a $200,000 bonus, moving allowance, $15,000 CME, and 31–35 days of time off per year, plus tail-covered malpractice and a 403(b) plan.

The role includes complex spine and neurovascular cases within a robust spine center and EPIC EMR. Two Clinic Days and 3 OR Days frame a busy schedule with dedicated clinic RN support and 1:4 call with APPs

• BC/BE Neurosurgeon

Responsibilities

• Case mix includes complex spine, neurovascular conditions, brain and busy trauma service.
• Two Clinic Days/3 OR Days.
• No elective cases or clinic while on Trauma Call.
• Dedicated Clinic RN for each Physician.
• Call 1:4 with APP taking 1st call.
• APPs primary assist with daily inpatient rounding.
• On site X-Ray, CT and MRI/Functional MRI.
• Robust spine center with integrated Pain and PMR.
• EMR: EPIC.
