MercyOne Des Moines Neurosurgery is seeking a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to join a collegial team at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. The role features a two-year salary floor of $967,896 with a $200,000 bonus, moving allowance, CME $6,000 and time off 31 days up to 35 days per year, plus tail malpractice coverage.

The opportunity includes case mix across complex spine, neurovascular, brain and busy trauma service, two clinic days and 3 OR days, and EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• BC/BE neurosurgery board-certified or eligible.
• Experience in complex spine, neurovascular, brain and trauma surgeries.
• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex spine, neurovascular, brain and trauma surgeries.
• Collaborate with a dedicated clinic RN and APP for daily patient care.
• Participate in trauma call with 1:4 frequency and inpatient rounding.

We offer competitive 2-year salary floorof $967,896, $200,000 bonus, moving allowance $15,000, CME $6,000 and Time off 31 days up to 35 days per year, malpractice with tail coverage, 403(b) and so much more!

Opportunity Details:

• Case mix includes complex spine, neurovascular conditions, brain and busy trauma service
• Two Clinic Days/3 OR Days
• No elective cases or clinic while on Trauma Call
• Dedicated Clinic RN for each Physician
• Call 1:4 with APP taking 1st call
• APPs primary assist with daily inpatient rounding
• On site X-Ray, CT and MRI/ Functional MRI
• Robust spine center with integrated Pain and PMR
• EMR: EPIC
