Job summary

Marshall University Department of Neurosurgery seeks a full-time board certified/board eligible General Neurosurgeon with a completed Neurosurgery Residency. Licensure in WV, OH, and KY or eligibility is required. Duties include clinic, hospital care, teaching, and on-call coverage.

Active in resident education and research; participates in outreach and collaboration with the MU SOM Neurosurgery team. Commitment to academic medicine and patient care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinic, hospital and teaching services for adult neurosurgery patients.

Job Description

Marshall University Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a full -time board certified/board eligible General Neurosurgeon with a successfully completed Neurosurgery Residency. Must have or be eligible to obtain a license to practice medicine in the States of West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky.

Duties: Position involves clinic, hospital and teaching components. Provide evaluation, treatment, surgical procedures and follow-up care for adult neurosurgery patients, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Provide general neurosurgery call coverage with other neurosurgeons in a shared system.

Active in physician and hospital outreach activities related to General Neurosurgery. Participate in medical student and resident education, as well as research. All other appropriate duties as assigned by the chair of the Department of Neurosurgery.
