Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Associate Director, Translational Medicine, Neuroscience to lead translational disease strategies in Alzheimer’s/Neurological diseases and to guide multi-disciplinary teams. Qualifications

• PhD in neuroscience-related field.
• Minimum of 8 years post-PhD experience.
• Strong background in neuroscience, Alzheimer’s, genetics/genomics, molecular and cellular biology.
• Immunology knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong team player with cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Publishings in relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes translational disease strategy in Alzheimer’s/Neurological diseases with deep disease expertise.
• Leads and oversees execution of disease strategy across interfaces.
• Generates novel hypotheses for targetable biologies from literature and data.
• Manages cross-functional disease project teams with key interfaces across IT, bioinformatics, data science, stats, collaborators, and asset leads.
• Maintains relationship with translational clinicians for opportunity identification.
• Identifies needs and questions across assets to guide translational biology.
• Leads collaborations with academia and industry to identify biobanks and trials for data mining.
• Collaborates with bioinformatics to deliver biomarkers from -omics data.
• Manages relationships with regulatory, clinical, commercial and scientific communications.
• Represents Neurology Translational Medicine in internal meetings and cross-functional teams.
• Directs and supports publications in scientific journals.
