Job summary

AbbVie's Pharmacovigilance Lead will head Product Safety Teams and ensure robust safety monitoring across the lifecycle, including surveillance, signal detection and risk management, with cross-functional and regulatory collaboration.

The role requires an MD/DO with residency and patient-management experience; MPH preferred; 2–5 years in pharmacovigilance or clinical development; strong data interpretation, writing and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with residency and patient-management experience.
• MPH preferred.
• 2–5 years of pharmacovigilance/clinical development in pharma.
• Analyze clinical data and epidemiology effectively.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead pharmacovigilance for safety surveillance of products.
• Oversee safety documents: medical safety assessments, DSURs, PSURs, PBRERs, etc.
• Apply regulatory guidance for clinical development and marketed products.
• Analyze aggregate safety data and communicate with teams and regulators.
• Write, review and present technical safety documents.
• Implement risk-management strategies for assigned products.
• Mentor and coach PST members.
