Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Pharmacovigilance professional to support the Product Safety Lead in overseeing safety surveillance for neuroscience products across clinical trials and post-marketing phases. The role emphasizes signal management, regulatory interpretation, and preparing critical PV deliverables.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO with residency experience, and a Master of Public Health is preferred. Strong writing, data analysis, and English communication are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with 2+ years of patient management experience.
• Master Public Health is preferred in addition to MD/DO.
• Effectively analyze clinical data and epidemiological information required.
• Effectively write technical documents.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and be self-starting and able to work independently.
• Ability to effectively present recommendation / opinions in group environment.
• Fluency, both written and oral, in English.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply pharmacology, chemistry and non-clinical toxicology to effectively conduct safety surveillance.
• Safety surveillance for neuroscience products in clinical trials and post-marketing setting.
• Contribute to authorship of pharmacovigilance documents, including medical safety assessments and periodic safety reports.
• Apply current regulatory guidance for safety surveillance and authorship of PV documents.
• Analyze and interpret aggregate safety data and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
• Oversight of safety surveillance and pharmacovigilance activities for neuroscience products.
• As PST Lead, write, review and provide input on technical documents.
