Job summary

The MetroHealth System seeks a Registered Nurse for the Neuroscience Center, 6W, at MetroHealth Main Campus - Glick. This 7p-7a shift includes rotating weekends and holidays on a 24-bed neuroscience unit caring for stroke and complex neurological patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed neurological assessments.
• Support ICP monitoring and telemetry care.
• Titrate medications and manage drains, ventilators, body temperature, and CRRT.
• Provide comprehensive neurological patient care including NIHSS-focused stroke care.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking and effective delegation.
• Monitor seizures and provide seizure disorder care.
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, PCNAs, and therapy teams.
• Maintain documentation and communicate changes to the care team.
