Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Research Technician III in Neurology, onsite in Houston, to support multidisciplinary neuroscience research focusing on mouse models of epilepsy. The role involves in vivo/in vitro electrophysiology, EEG, small animal surgery, and RNA techniques.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in basic science with relevant lab experience; a Master's is preferred. Work is conducted in a NIH-funded lab with a Monday–Friday schedule and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field; four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in a related field preferred; neuroscience and mouse colony experience advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Genotyping- Sending mouse DNA samples for analysis.
• Immunohistochemistry- Cutting brain sections and staining with antibodies.
• Analyze data from all duties and report findings to the PI.
• Maintain the mouse colony.
• Conduct literature searches and summarize information for the study.
