St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's Escoubas Laboratory in the Center of Excellence in Neuro-Oncology Sciences (CENOS) seeks an Associate Scientist to join a growing, collaborative neuroscience team.

The role centers on in vivo studies, brain tissue processing, immunofluorescence and confocal imaging, primary neural cell culture, data analysis, and contributing to manuscript preparation and protocol development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific area.
• 7+ years of research experience is required; 5+ years with a Master's; 2+ years with a PhD.

Responsabilités

• Conduct in vivo studies using preclinical models including ICV injections, behavioral assessments, perfusion, tissue collection, and downstream analyses.
• Process brain tissue for histology including cryosectioning, immunofluorescence staining, and confocal microscopy.
• Culture and maintain primary neural cell populations and established cell lines to support in vitro studies.
• Analyze, quantify, and interpret experimental and imaging data with detailed records.
