Qualifications

• Master’s degree in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, cognitive science, biopsychology, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in neuroscience research and program management.
• Knowledge of NIH grants, funding mechanisms, and grants administration processes.
• Ability to evaluate scientific proposals, grant applications, and research portfolios.
• Skilled in qualitative and quantitative program analyses and evaluations.
• Proven ability to prepare scientific reports, presentations, and executive briefings.
• Background coordinating scientific meetings, workshops, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
• Capability to develop SOPs, research protocols, surveys, questionnaires, and data collection instruments.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and programmatic support to the NINDS MDN Cluster and manage a complex neuroscience grants portfolio.
• Analyze scientific landscapes to identify funding opportunities, trends, and areas for program improvement.
• Oversee grants’ scientific merit, responsiveness to priorities, and impact.
• Prepare reports, briefing materials, and leadership communications.
