Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroscience to investigate neural mechanisms of social cognition and memory. The project spans molecular, synaptic, and systems neuroscience using optogenetics, miniscope imaging, and single-cell transcriptomics.

You will design, execute, and analyze experiments with supervision from a PI. The ideal candidate has a PhD in neuroscience or a related field, at least three years of wet-lab experience, and a strong background

Qualifications

• Experience in single-cell RNA sequencing, patch-clamp physiology, in vivo imaging, or computational neural data analysis.
• Lead projects, design experiments, perform experiments independently and publish results.
• Experiments will include social behavioral assays, stereotaxic surgeries, and miniscope recordings.
• PhD or equivalent in neuroscience or related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience in neuroscience or related field and PhD.
