Howard University College of Medicine invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow in the Laboratory of Dr. Sayan Nandi, in collaboration with Dr. Heinbockel and Dr.

Ford, within the Department of Anatomy in Washington, DC. The lab investigates neuroinflammation in brain injury using rodent models and advanced imaging, with a focus on microglial roles. The candidate will train students and postdocs, contribute to grant writing, data analysis, and manuscript preparation, and present

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Neuroscience or related field by start date.
  • Training in rodent surgical, histological and imaging techniques is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Train incoming students and postdoctoral fellows in the PI's lab.
  • Participate in grant writing, manuscript preparation and data analyses.
  • Conduct data collection, statistical analysis and interpretation for CMHSR portfolio.
  • Develop and manage research projects leading to publications and conference abstracts.
  • Present scientific work internally and externally with strong communication skills.
