Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D in Neuroscience.
• 4-7 years of work experience in health outcomes or social science measure development and mixed methods research (qualitative and quantitative); post-doctoral experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of measurement principles including psychometric concepts such as measurement error, validity, reliability, and item response theory.
• Experience with statistical analyses using healthcare or social science data sets (SPSS, SAS, or R).
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research design, including mixed methods design in the social sciences.
• Experience creating or refining survey instruments and other measurement tools.
• Demonstrated record of publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences.
• Familiarity with IRB regulatory requirements and processes.
• Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs health outcomes research projects and conducts data collection and analysis from clinical data, questionnaires, and interviews.
• Collaborates with study teams across multiple medical centers and supports various research projects and hospital initiatives.
• Develops outcomes measures and designs data collection forms (REDCap) as needed.
• Conducts data coding, cleaning, and analysis of large datasets using various methods.
• Prepares reports, tables, charts, and graphs with summaries and recommendations.
• Writes scientific publications and prepares presentations for local and national meetings.
• Interacts with internal and external study teams to ensure best practices in data collection, management, and security.
