Job summary

Sinai Hospital's Neuroscience Unit in Baltimore seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to support neurology and neurosurgery patients, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, seizure, and epilepsy cases.

Under the supervision of unit leadership, the LPN applies nursing principles and basic assessment skills to develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinating with RNs and PCAs to meet daily shift needs. This role emphasizes teamwork and patient safety in a busy telemetry environment.

Qualifications

• Maryland license as an LPN or eligible for licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing principles and basic assessment to develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with RN and PCA to ensure daily unit operations and patient needs are met.

Sinai Hospital's Neuroscience Unit is a 36-bed telemetry unit caring for neurology and neurosurgery patients, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, seizure, and epilepsy cases.

Summary:

Under the supervision of the unit leadership, the Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes a general understanding of the principles of nursing and basic physical assessment skills in the development and implementation of individualized nursing interdisciplinary plans to ensure that the needs of the patients are met; establishes collaborative relationships with the RN and PCA to ensure all daily operations of the unit are met each shift.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license
• Basic Life Support

Pay Range: $25.57 to $40.89 Based On Experience
