Northeastern University in Boston, MA, seeks a full-time Laboratory Technician for The Shansky Lab to support NIH-funded neuroscience research. The role includes lab management, ordering supplies, maintaining the facility, and training undergraduates in laboratory protocols.

Responsibilities include rodent colony management, stereotaxic surgery, behavioral testing, tissue processing for fluorescence microscopy, data collection, and analysis; you will also assist graduate students and postdocs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Biology, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in a rodent neuroscience laboratory.

Responsabilités

• Oversee undergraduate volunteer schedules and provide training on basic laboratory tasks and protocols.
• Conduct independent research activities, including rodent colony management, stereotaxic surgery, behavioral testing, tissue processing for fluorescent microscopy, and data collection and analysis.
• Assist graduate students and postdoctoral researchers with research projects.
• Order laboratory supplies and support laboratory operations and maintenance.
