Job summary

UCLA seeks a Staff Research Associate I to coordinate research projects in the IBP lab, schedule and screen participants, maintain databases, attend meetings, and submit IRB protocols.

The associate will lead data collection for a BrightFocus Foundation grant, including behavioral testing, neuropsych assessments, MRI and PET imaging, and saliva collection, working with participants 18+ including older adults and those with neuropsychiatric conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience managing databases and multiple tasks.
• Experience interacting with special populations (older adults, depression).
• Experience with neuroimaging data collection or analysis is preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, PsychoPy, Airtable is required.
• Maintain clear, well-organized lab records.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and mentor undergraduates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research projects and scheduling of participants.
• Maintain databases and keep lab records organized.
• Attend lab meetings and take notes.
• Submit IRB protocols as required.
• Lead data collection for BrightFocus Foundation grant (behavioral tests, MRI, PET, saliva).
• Interact professionally with participants aged 18+ including older adults and those with neuropsychiatric conditions.
