Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with lab experience or some college science courses.
• Demonstrated experience handling mice in a research setting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and keep organized records.
• General lab experience with filing, alphabetizing and clerical tasks.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic software for data handling.
• Ability to work independently and meticulously under supervision as needed.
• Good communication skills and the ability to resolve equipment issues.
• Experience with SLIM/ immunohistochemistry and neural data analysis.
• Knowledge of MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
• Familiarity with rodent disease models and animal husbandry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in experiments involving animal models and behavioral assays.
• Support surgeries for neural recording and implantations.
• Maintain mouse colonies and perform animal husbandry tasks.
• Prepare tissue for image analysis and support immunohistochemistry.
• Process and manage journals, publications, and lab files.
• Assist with imaging slices and data analysis workflows.
• Handle lab equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and perform miscellaneous duties.
