Job summary

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) on the Rockville campus seeks an experienced Scientific Program Manager to provide scientific and programmatic support to the NINDS Division of Neuroscience, MDN cluster, for management of a complex grants portfolio. You will apply neuroscience expertise to assess applications and awards for merit, mission fit, and NOFO responsiveness.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or similar.
  • Knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanisms, funding opportunity announcements, workshop and conference planning, research conduct and compliance, and project management.
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Develop research plans for new projects and coordinate workflows across teams.
  • Design and support analysis of questionnaires, surveys, protocols, and SOPs.
  • Coordinate and document projects from start to finish; monitor status and results.
  • Provide research management and analytic support for major initiatives and data systems.
  • Prepare data summaries, manuscripts and presentations; support dissemination of findings.
  • Lead data analysis and reporting to inform program priorities and policy.
