Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Lexington, KY, seeks a senior sales leader to manage a specialty team focused on CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar and depression therapies.

You will recruit, coach, and develop high-performing representatives, drive results, and build strong clinical relationships with healthcare providers. The role requires 10+ years in pharma, with 4 years in sales management, willingness to travel up to 75 percent, and the ability to secure credentialing across providers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years in the pharmaceuticals industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
• Leadership experience required; travel up to 75%.
• Specialty experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression preferred.

• Demonstrated high performance of sales and leadership track record.
• Driver's license and clean driving history.
• Ability to secure credentialing with healthcare providers and facilities.

• Must reside near a major airport within the district.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree; Advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years in the pharmaceuticals industry with 4 years of Sales Management preferred.
• Candidates with fewer than 3 years of leadership experience may be considered for the Associate DSM position.
• Specialty experience preferred: CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar or depression, other specialty experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain and develop high performing team of specialty sales representatives.
• Documented high performance of sales and leadership track record.
• Driver's license and clean driving history.
• Ability to secure and maintain reasonable industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, customer facilities, and state/local governments.
• Ability to build and sustain positive relationships.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and business acumen.
• Must reside near major airport within the district.
• Ability to maintain effectiveness and flexibility in an innovative work environment.
• Experience in small company and start-up work environments.
• Ability to travel up to 75%
