Job summary

Hospital for Special Care is seeking a part-time Neuropsychometrist in Cromwell, CT. You will administer and score neuropsychological tests under supervision, observe examinees, and document findings for patient reports in an outpatient hospital setting.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field, with CT training commitment and experience in clinical psychology tasks. Board-certification eligibility and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or closely related discipline is required.
• Must be willing to complete CT required training with each staff neuropsychologist and maintain training records.
• Experience performing clinical psychology related duties in patient or research populations is required.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or related discipline.
• Preferred: At least one year of formal experience in a psychometrician/neuropsychometrician role; pediatric assessment encouraged.
• Board certification eligibility welcomed.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Administer and score psychological and neuropsychological tests to medical and psychiatric patients under supervision of staff Neuropsychologists.
• Obtain and record behavioral observations during assessments.
• Enter assessment data into a table for integration into patient reports.
• Manage inventory for test materials and reorder as needed.
• Participate in weekly team meetings for department functioning.
• Perform miscellaneous clerical duties as required.
