Job summary

The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians seeks qualified professionals to perform clinical duties, conduct examinations, and evaluate patient care. Job description

Performs professional duties and technical procedures of the particular area of specialty to provide examination and treatment of patients. Orders and analyzes appropriate tests and procedures to provide information on patient’s condition. Meets productivity expectation related to patient care and evaluation volumes.

Education and/or Experience
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from APA accredited program; Completion of an APA-accredited internship; Completion of post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology with a specialty in pediatrics consistent with Hoston Conference Guidelines
  • Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Maryland
  • Board certification/eligibility in area of specialty
  • Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive care and consideration of sociocultural factors in assessment and interpretation
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, patient’s families, departmental units, and medical and nursing staff on all essential matters

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
